The inaugural World Audio-Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES 2025), organised by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, marked a landmark initiative to showcase India’s creative economy on the global stage. The event brought together global leaders, creators, and policymakers from the Media & Entertainment industry to discuss innovation, collaboration, and the future of storytelling in India.
Representing Andhra Pradesh’s growing AVGC-XR sector, APVAGA proudly participated with its own stall at the summit. The delegation — including Sreedhar Kosaraju (Chairman of APDTI Network, Founder & MD of Nimaisoft Systems), Rudra Balaji (President of APVAGA and Virtual Production Supervisor at Ramoji Film City), Sasidhar Paka (Founder & CEO, Staple IT), Ravi Kumar Kothapalli (Director of Hornbill Studios and Secretary of APVAGA), Meghana Tirumalasetty (Co-Founder of Little Black Star VFX and Joint Secretary of APVAGA), Shravan Panja (Executive Director, Cinematica Expo India), and P.G. Vinda (Chairman & MD, Cinematica Expo India) — actively engaged in networking, industry discussions, and policy sessions that highlighted the state’s emerging contribution to India’s animation, visual effects, gaming, and immersive media ecosystem.
The APVAGA pavilion drew attention from several distinguished visitors, including actor and entrepreneur Nagarjuna (CEO, Annapurna Studios) and cinema icons Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Hema Malini, Mohanlal, and Akshay Kumar, among others. Their presence underscored the growing recognition of Andhra Pradesh’s creative potential within India’s rapidly evolving media and entertainment landscape.
As APVAGA continues to represent the voice of Andhra Pradesh’s AVGC-XR community on national and global platforms, its participation at WAVES 2025 reaffirms the state’s commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and growth in this dynamic sector.
